Sears And Delta Airlines Info Was Breached In Tech Firm Hack

Two big companies are warning their customers of a cyber security breach.

Sears and Delta Air Lines both reported Wednesday that some of their customer payment information may have been exposed in a breach by a software provider. Technology firm [ 24]7.ai, which provides online support services for Delta, Sears and Kmart among other companies, discovered a hack that affected online customer payment information of its clients, it said.

Sears says it was notified of the breach last month and that it affects the credit card information of about 100-thousand customers. Delta says some of its customers are affected the breach, but that none of their information has been compromised. In particular they said Skymiles, passport, and government issued ID info was not taken. Source: CNBC
