Jessie J. , Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj released the hot new track “Bang Bang” last week, and while the three made a great hit together, they really were never together to begin with.

“Sadly, it’s very rare to actually ever meet someone that you record a song with, because usually when you want someone that’s successful and great, they’re very rarely available,” she revealed in an interview with CBS Radio. In fact, Jessie’s first encounter with the two superstars was late last week when they met in L.A. to shoot the song’s video.  Joked Jessie, “what a great to way to meet and be like ‘Yo, wassup! Yeah we got a number one song on iTunes!'”

Jessie was hoping she, Ariana and Nicki would get along, but she didn’t want to push it, explaining,  “I don’t force friendships with anyone just ’cause people are famous. If someone’s nice, I’ll be nice back and always be nice back.”

Meanwhile, Jessie told MTV meeting the other girls last week was  “hugely nerve wracking, but exciting,” and as things started progressing they started loving each other “more than words.” And judging by the picture Jessie posted on Instagram, it looks like they had a great time.

“Nicki was amazing, she’s so head strong and knows what she wants. She was really great at making sure all of us knew what we was doing, and kind of had an idea, because you get that certain amount of takes.. and if you get it, you get it. So we all wanted to make sure we were on the same page, and not looking like a completely confused girl band,” Jessie said. “But Ariana is hilarious and she is so sweet, she was singing the whole time and it was fun.”
