This is an episode of "Law and Order" worth watching. The Sisters of St. Charles, a convent of nuns in Stone Park, Illinois, are suing Club Allure Chicago, a strip club.
According to the Associated Press, the nuns claim the club is violating zoning laws which require one thousand feet between adult entertainment and places of worship. The sister's also claim they've seen "public violence, drunkenness and litter, including . empty whiskey and beer bottles, discarded contraceptive packages and products and even used condoms," according to the lawsuit, which also mentions the "pulsating and rhythmic staccato-beat noise and flashing neon and or strobe lights" that disturb the nuns.
Club Allure is flaming they're doing nothing wrong, the convent is just targeting them. "We spent an awful lot of money to make sure that this kind of thing would not occur," Club Allure manager Robert Itzkow said. "The whole thing is just a question of 'we don't like you; you don't conform to our religious beliefs.'" The case is ongoing.
