Restaurants Are Facebook Stalking Customers

Restaurants are always trying to up their service and business game. That’s why there’s a bunch of apps and companies now that can actually help track customers’ activity after they’ve dined at a certain place. Apps like Upserve, OpenTable, and Avero actually create customer profiles based on their credit card numbers.

But that’s not the only info they use - they actually gather info from social media like LinkedIn and Facebook to compile a complete profile. The profiles are able to analyze which customers are ordering certain drinks and dishes so that the restaurant can better serve their clientele. This really only works for fast casual and chain restaurants, as many of the finer dining experiences prefer to build real relationships with their customers.

But who knew restaurants were only steps away from sliding into our DMs??
