If you thought you only had to deal with ghosting this holiday season, think again. There’s a new dating trend that’s hitting now that it’s the holidays and it’s called Marleying. What is it? Well if you’ve ever had an ex come back over the Christmas time, you’ve been Marleyed.
The trend is fittingly named after Ebenezer Scrooge’s dead business partner Jacob Marley who comes back around at Christmastime. Like Jacob Marley, your ex could sneak back up on you around the holidays if you’re not expecting it. Sometimes they’re trying to get back with you, other times they’re just trying to hookup. Either way, if your ex shows up mysteriously in the winter months, you’re a victim of Marleying!
