Pet Owners Are Worried About Near Epidemic Dog Flu - If you’re a dog lover, heads up about the dog flu.

This, like human flu is pretty serious and more likely to kill. The highly contagious disease has now spread to 46 states. The scary symptoms include coughing, sneezing, lethargy, decreased appetite and difficulty breathing.

The illness can cause permanent damage to pooches. A vaccine is available and experts highly recommend it be given. Early warning signs can look like kennel cough, so it’s important to high tail it to a vet.

One more thing… there is no dog flu season, it spreads year round.Source: Fox News

Secretive Airline Is Hiring - If you can keep a big secret, there may be an opening at a “hush hush” airline for you.

A non-existent airline, run by the U.S. government, is looking to hire a top-secret flight attendant. Janet airlines runs a secretive operation out of a heavily-guarded terminal at Las Vegas' McCarran International Airport. Only the people who have a reason to be on one of the flights know where they go, and even then, maybe not.

It's rumored that the planes ferry workers to destinations like Area 51 and other secret military destinations. While some joke that Janet stands for "Just Another Non-Existent Terminal," it may mean "Joint Air Network for Employee Transportation."

The job opening, posted on an airline website, calls for level-headed and clear thinking individuals, ideally with an active top secret clearance. If you don’t have that clearance, you can certainly try and apply for one, but be prepared for some serious vetting.

Morgue Employees Discover Body Snoring

Gonzalo Montoya Jiménez gave morgue employees in Spain a real scare when all of sudden he started snoring. The problem? The 29-year-old had been declared dead by three different doctors.

The man was an inmate at a jail in the Asturias region and it was there a guard first discovered him - appearing to show no signs of life. More than three hours later, and only a few minutes before his autopsy, Jiménez started snoring in his body bag.

Workers helped him to his feet and now Jimenez is under observation at a nearby hospital. Doctors believe he was suffering from Catalepsy, a condition characterized by a very weak pulse and serious muscular rigidity.

New York Man Offers 'Snowfort Penthouse' on Airbnb

A New York man is making the most of the city's winter weather by listing the "snowfort penthouse" he built on his balcony on Airbnb.

Michael Koenigs filmed himself transforming the snow on his apartment's balcony into a "fort" that he is now offering up on the accommodation-finding app.

"This comfy snowfort is built to impress with its very own tunnel entrance, breakfast chair, and couch for sleeping (bring your own blankets--BYOB)," Koenigs' listing reads. "It has sweeping city views and no roof to allow maximum sunlight exposure to help warm you up during the day. The 5 foot-tall snow wall offers some privacy from the prying eyes of nosey New Yorkers."

The snowfort -- which is "only available for a limited time because it will melt" -- is being offered for $250 a night.

"Washer/dryer not included with the unit," Koenigs wrote.

  • From Tom: I know the guy who listed the snowfort. I work with the reporter and his wife at ABC. I was willing to pay the $250 for snowfort to annoy his wife. But there were no nights available between now and June.
