Moms Say Daycare Waxed Their Kids’ Unibrows
Two Washington mothers are furious after their toddlers came home from daycare with freshly waxed brows. They claim someone at the daycare waxed their children’s faces, removing their unibrows.
Alyssa Salgado says she noticed the missing patch of hair after picking her daughter Lilayiah that evening from a college campus. “I got a closer look and I saw she was missing her patch of hair,” offers Salgado. “She has a unibrow and she was born like that."
Glenda Maria Cruz also claims her son’s unibrow was waxed that same day. “I tried to touch his face. He says, No, no, stop,” notes Cruz. “It hurts me because that’s my baby.” The daycare, run by the Boys and Girls Club, says it “takes these allegations seriously and will work to support the investigation process.”

Woman accuses Spirit Airlines of forcing her to flush pet hamster
A Florida woman claims that Spirit Airlines forced her to flush her hamster down an airport toilet because the emotional support animal wasn't allowed to board the plane with her, reports The Miami Herald.
Before college student Belen Aldecosea flew home from Baltimore to Fort Lauderdale she called Spirit Airlines twice to confirm she could bring Pebbles, her pet dwarf hamster. Aldecosea had a doctor's letter certifying Pebbles as an emotional support animal, and the airline assured her it wouldn't be a problem.
When the 21-year-old arrived at the Baltimore airport, a Spirit employee refused to allow her to board with the animal. She said Spirit agents informed her she couldn't place the hamster in the cargo hold either.
Panicked and with her plane about to take off, Aldecosea said she flushed Pebbles at an airline employee's suggestion, after exhausting all other options.
Spirit Airlines spokesman Derek Dombrowski admits in an email that the company mistakenly told Aldecosea over the phone that the rodent was allowed. He explained, "Our reservation representative, unfortunately, did misinform the guest that a hamster was permitted to fly as an emotional support animal on Spirit Airlines."
However, Dombrowski denies that a Spirit employee told her to flush her pet down the toilet. Dombrowski adds, "To be clear, at no point did any of our agents suggest this guest (or any other for that matter) should flush or otherwise injure an animal."
Aldecosea said she's considering suing Spirit over the conflicting instructions that pressured her into making the difficult decision.
A U.S. Transportation Safety Administration spokeswoman told the newspaper they have no problem with carry-on hamsters, but it is up to the individual airlines to decide whether they allow hamsters on board.
Americans Have Their Say About Pizza
Today is National Pizza Day, and while a lot of people may be grabbing for a slice in honor of the occasion, it’s no secret that people have very different, and specific, feelings when it comes to the delicious cheesy goodness that is a pizza. Well, Cumberland Farms set out to set the record straight about America’s pizza preferences, and some of the results may surprise you.
When it comes to eating pizza, most people agree, silverware is not needed. The survey finds that 92% of Americans believe pizza is a finger food that should never be eaten with a fork and knife. What’s more, most people start at the bottom, with 78% of Americans saying they eat their slice from end to crust.
Shockingly, when it comes to toppings, 65% of people say they love cooked pineapple on a pizza, with 33% of Hawaiians saying it’s their favorite type of slice. But dipping pizza in things is another story, with only 47% of people thinking dipping pizza in ranch dressing is delicious, and 52% saying it takes away from the pizza taste.
Finally, most people agree that pizza is good at all times of day, with 85% of folks saying they’d rather eat a leftover slice for breakfast in the morning than a piece of toast.

*LIST* Valentine’s Gifts Men Say They Really Want
There are only a few days left until February 14, so it’s time to get those Valentine’s gifts picked out. Shopping for guys for this holiday isn’t always easy, so if you’re still stumped about what to give your man this Valentine’s Day, here are a few suggestions from real dudes who answered a Reddit Ask Men about what they’d like to get from their Valentine.
- For you to be grateful for whatever they give you - “Whatever else you give him, the best thing might be no pressure and your genuine enthusiasm or appreciation for what he gives you.”
- For you to say nice things - “Tell him how romantic this is and how wonderful of a time you are having and be affectionate towards him and just make him feel loved, like he done good.”
- A fellow anti-Valentine - “I’d just love for her to say ‘I hate Valentine’s Day. It’s a stupid commercial holiday and we’re not going to celebrate it. Ever.”
- Attention - “Breakfast in bed, hugs, little gifts, crazy sex, anything that shows I mean the world to her goes a looooong way.”
- Something he hasn’t asked you for - “Anything he’s been asking you to do to him that you’ve not been interested in? Maybe sexually, maybe not.”
- Something meaningful - “I prefer to get something meaningful. I don't want a video game or DVD that just about anyone could buy me. I want something thoughtful, that she bought because she just knew I'd like it as soon as she saw it."
- A burger - "Treat him to a good burger and beer."

"Must be out of mind but here goes. We were collegiate friends who had one amazing night together many years ago. No one else around as we met over winter break. Cold beers, drinks at the bar, walking in the snow, and finally back to your place. I still treasure the time we had together. At that time all of our social arrangements were complicated. I'm happily married but would love to just share an email or two. If you think this is you and are inclined I'd love to hear a response. Not looking to complicate anyone's life. Just friendship and reconnecting. What amazes me most is that on one magical night you can make such a strong connection that 30+ years later you still remember it like yesterday. I hope you are happy and all is well in your life. Also hope we share an email and a laugh soon."
