Do You Do Your Makeup While You’re In The Car? Well Don’t!

Emergency service rescuers in Bangkok, Thailand, were summoned to the scene of a minor car crash in the Ratchathewi District, yesterday. A cab had crashed into the back of a slow moving truck, but while such accidents are quite frequent and rarely result in serious injuries, in this case, the passenger in the back of the taxi had sustained a piercing wound to her left eye. Rescuers reported that the woman was using an eyeliner when the crash happened, so the pencil jammed into her eye socket.

  • Do you do your makeup every morning on the way to work, while you’re in the car?
  • After reading this will you avoid doing your makeup while in a car?

Hangry Woman Calls Cops When Pizza Takes Too Long

A woman in Canada reportedly called police Monday night after her pizza was taking too long to prepare.

Ontario Provincial Police were called to a restaurant in Elgin around 10 p.m. by a 32-year-old “hangry” woman who complained, along with her 10-year-old son, that their pizza wasn’t made in a timely manner, the Toronto Star reported.

A police constable told the news outlet that authorities warned the woman about how to properly use the 911 system for emergencies.

“It’s for emergency situations in need of police, fire or ambulance,” Constable Sandra Barr said. “It’s not for pizza calls.”

Police said there was no evidence to suggest that the mother consumed alcohol prior to dialing 911.

What Car Would You Want To Be Buried In?

A Nigerian man recently created a huge buzz online after spending $90,000 on a brand new BMW X5 and using it as a casket to bury his late father in. The man, identified simply as Azubuike, had reportedly lost his father to old age and decided to send him off on his final journey in a luxury car. So he spent a small fortune on a brand new BMW X5, placed the old man’s body inside and buried it in an extra-large, six-foot-deep grave, near his village. A photo of the car being lowered into the grave by pallbearers under the watchful eye of Azubuike recently went viral online and caused quite the controversy.

  • Do you find it offensive that this man had his father buried in such an expensive car?
  • If you could choose one car to be buried in, which would you choose and why?

Broccoli Is America’s Favorite Veggie...By Far

While some people hate vegetables, there are others who just love them, but it seems which veggies you prefer may depend on where you live.

Sunday is National Eat Your Veggie Day, and in honor of the occasion, Green Giant polled 4,000 Americans to determine the most popular vegetable in each state, and broccoli is by far America’s favorite.

Overall, broccoli is the favorite veggie of 47% of U.S. states, with corn coming in second, a favorite of nine states. Interestingly, the potato state, Idaho, chose peas as their fave, the only state to do so, while no state chose onions, peppers, celery or spinach as their favorite veggie.

Entitled much? Survey says more than half of all Millennials expect to become millionaires

Employers have complained that hiring millennials can be frustrating because, they complain, the new hires expect too much of their jobs.  A new study from TDAmeritrade seems to bear this out -- it reveals that more than half of millennials surveyed were confident they'd eventually become millionaires.

This confidence comes in an age where millennial-aged celebrities have become rich and famous for seemingly being themselves.  But in reality --as opposed to reality TV -- millions of millennials are saddled with crushing student debt, which in many cases was spent getting degrees that are only nominally useful.

And, while 17% of those born between 1982 and 2000 say they still receive financial support from their parents, "Young people are optimistic about the future," according to J.J. Kinahan, chief strategist for TD Ameritrade.

"On average, survey respondents expect to land a job in their chosen field and be completely financially independent by age 25," he continues.

"This is a financially optimistic group that's feeling positive about the economy, the job market and their own plans. Their youthful energy combined with countless success stories of young people in the media, likely inspires them to think big when it comes to their earning potential."
