Scientists Develop A Blood Test That Detects Cancer In 10 Minutes

There is a large breakthrough in the fight against cancer.

Australian scientists have developed a blood test they claim can diagnose cancer in minutes. Scientists at the University of Queensland say the new test can quickly identify a unique DNA signature that's present in all types of cancer. The researchers said Tuesday that their study showed the ten-minute blood test was able to detect cancer with 90-percent accuracy. They're hoping the new test, if proven accurate, will help make diagnosing cancer more accessible and affordable.

With nine in ten cancer deaths due to a late diagnosis, this news is a relief and lifesaving. One of the researchers cautions, “We certainly don’t know yet whether it’s the Holy Grail or not for all cancer diagnostics.”Source: New York Post
