Netflix Warns Against The #BirdBoxChallenge
If you thought people were going to be more intelligent in 2019, think again. Apparently, people have been taking the #BirdBoxChallenge, which involves them wearing blindfolds to do everyday tasks. The challenge involves people wearing blindfolds while doing things like riding scooters, climbing escalators, and going through drive-thrus.
As you can imagine, the results haven’t been as successful as people thought they would. It’s actually gotten so bad that Netflix has had to issue a warning. “Can’t believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE,” the streaming service tweeted. “We don’t know how this started, and we appreciate the love, but Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019 and it is that you not end up in the hospital due to memes.”
For the record, the Sandra Bullock movie involves people forced to go through life with their eyes covered to avoid seeing mysterious forces that have them turn into homicidal maniacs before committing suicide.
Girl Scout Cookie Season Is Here...With A New Gluten Free Cookie
There’s a lot of good food out there that will try and tempt us to break our New Year’s resolutions to eat well, get healthy and lose weight, and now you can add Girl Scout cookies to that list.
Girl Scout Cookie season officially kicked off yesterday, and in addition to everyone’s favorites like Thin Mints, Tag-Alongs, and Samoas, a new cookie is entering the mix this year. The 2019 lineup now includes the Caramel Chocolate Chip, featuring rich caramel, semisweet chocolate chips, and a hint of sea salt. Even better for some, this chewy cookie is gluten-free, joining the Toffee-tastic gluten free cookie, which was introduced in 2015.
This year, Girl Scouts who participate in the cookie program also have the chance to win a unique experience featuring the DC Super Hero Girls by entering the Cookie Pro contest. In total 24 girls will win a trip to California, featuring a VIP adventure at Warner Bros. studio, activities featuring DC Super Hero Girls, a special Girl Scout Cookie Pro recognition event and more. Hershey’s Kisses Gives Us An Early Valentine’s Day Gift
We’re barely finished with New Year’s and retailers are already moving on to Valentine’s Day. And while we can all agree that we need a little breathing room between holidays, the upside to the rush to Valentine’s Day is the candy.
Hershey’s knows that and they’re bringing us a new flavor of Kisses candy: Lava Cake Kisses. They’re calling the new treat “the perfect indulgent treat” and it features a “smooth melted cocoa center surrounded by a decadent dark chocolate plume.” Sounds pretty good, right?
And the best part is they’re available now, but only for a limited time, so if you’re interested – get on it.
