Poppy Seed Bagel Causes Woman In Labor To Test Positive For Drugs -You may want to avoid a certain seeded bagel if you have a drug test in your future.

Elizabeth Dominguez was in labor and went to a Niagara Falls, New York hospital to give birth. They took a urine sample and it came back positive for opiates. That’s when the new mom was separated from her baby until things got sorted out.

Turns out she had eaten an “everything” bagel and it had poppy seeds on it. Those seeds are derived from the opium plant and typically cause false positives.

Child Protective Services kept the baby until the investigation cleared his mom.

Post Office Considering Self-Driving Truck Delivery

The way you receive your packages could change a lot sooner than later. That’s because robo-trucks are taking over the world! Well, not entirely.Just in the Southwest….for now.

Over the course of the next two weeks, a self-driving truck may is set to deliver packages in test areas. That means trucks will be riding on 22-hour routes between Phoenix and Dallas. During the testing phase, some assistance is still needed from a safety engineer and driver.

Of course this could potentially cut costs for the Postal Service, but jobs will more than likely get cut as well. YIKES! With some good, always comes bad.

It’s Official: You Can Now Be Compost After Death In Washington- Washington is the first state to legalize human composting.

Yes, that means if yo want to forego the whole casket, funeral, gathering ordeal after you pass… you can get tossed on a compost pile.

GovernorJay Insleesigned the bill into law yesterday. When the composting is complete, the soil is returned to loved ones. They in turn can use the soil plant flowers, vegetables or trees. The argument for human composting is it's an alternative to cremation and burials. Proponents argue it would be great in cities where the land for graveyards is running out.
