J.K. Rowling to Release More Harry Potter Stories Next Month

In 2011 J.K Rowling launched "Pottermore"-a wizarding world website, an immersive website that quickly grew into a large content and e-commerce platform.

Then in 2018 after the New York premiere ofHarry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway she announced there would not be another Harry Potter story.

Well it looks like she has had a change of heart.

According to Pottermore, this Summer we will officially get four Harry Potter "shorts" e-books!

They will be about the life and classes at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry.Rowling has released the titles of the four e-books:

  • Harry Potter: A Journey Through Care of Magical Creatures
  • Harry Potter: A Journey Through Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts
  • Harry Potter: A Journey Through Divination and Astronomy
  • Harry Potter: A Journey Through Potions and Herbology.

The e-books launch on June 27!

Working Less Could Help The Environment

Most of us have fantasized about working less and how much happier we would be not dealing with a commute and heading to the office five days a week and now there’s new research out that shows it wouldn’t just be good for us, but better for the planet, too. That’s because the modern workday is really carbon-intensive when you look at the commute, the lighting, heating and cooling at the office, and all the electronics being used all day.

Anew studyfrom Autonomy, a European think tank, looks at the connection between greenhouse gas emissions and the number of hours people work each week to figure out how many hours a week of work would be good for the environment. And their research suggests it’s not many. Ecologically speaking, we’re talking less than 10 hours a week per person!

Of course, we can’t all just start working 10 hours a week and calling it quits. But we could make some changes and compromises that would benefit the planet. Just switching to a four-day work week or letting people ditch the commute to work from home would have a major impact. But if they need anyone to test out how much better working only 10 hours a week would be for the planet, we’re sure there will be plenty of volunteers.

Two Words - Jean Speedos: Summer fashion can be questionable, to say the least. Everything from people wearing flip-flops who really shouldn't, to huge hats that block out everything.Just when you think you've seen it all though, someone comes out with something so outlandish that you have to stop and think: Is this really real? And in the case of denim speedos, they are absolutely real. A company called Shinesty has released this unforgettable summer attire. Good news is they're just made it look like denim and not actually be denim, because swimming in wet jeans sounds like a nightmare. They describe this look as "the mall-rat older brother who shops at Hot Topic, drinks 32-ounce Monsters and has snakebite piercings." Which sounds about right. They’re available for pre-order and will ship in September and cost around $40.

Here’s Why You Should Think Twice Before Traveling With A Friend

While going on vacation with your best friend may sound like a great idea, if you believe the results of a new survey you may want to think twice before you plan your next getaway with your best bud.

According to a new Travelocity survey, 47% of people say friends actually make the worst travel companions, followed by family members (30%), significant others (15%) and spouses (7%). And a bad travel experience could lead to the end of a friendship, with 40% of people saying they stopped talking to a friend either indefinitely or for a period of time after a bad trip.

Overall, 60% of people say you don’t really know a person until you’ve traveled with them, with 48% of people saying personality differences have ruined a trip. Other things that ruined a trip include: being loud, rude or annoying (23%) and not sharing the same interests (25%).

For all these reasons it seems understandable that  81% of people believe you need to pick your travel partners carefully.

New Couples Should Wait This Long Before Traveling Together

The early days of a new relationship really are the best. Everything is exciting, you get butterflies whenever you see your new sweetie and want to spend all your time together. But no matter how well everything is going, a new survey suggests that new couples may want to hold off on booking a romantic vacation for a little while.

The survey, commissioned byexclusiveprivatevillas.comasked 1,500 adults about their experiences traveling as a couple and how it affected their relationships. And it turns out, taking a trip together too soon into a romance isn’t always the best idea. The survey finds that one-fifth of couples who tried to vacation before seven months ended up breaking up and of those, 8% didn’t even wait to get home to end things!

Getting away together seems romantic and all, but traveling can be stressful, especially for new couples who haven’t yet shared a small hotel room - or worse - a single bathroom. So this survey suggests that couples should wait until they’ve spent seven happy months together before booking that vacay together.
