Science Says We Should Hang Out With Our Besties Twice A Week

We know that spending quality time with our BFFs gives our souls a good recharge and now science says it’s good for our health, too.Researchfrom the University of Oxford finds that hanging out with your friends is good for both mental and physical health and they even suggest we should do it twice a week to get the biggest boost.

Scientists say people with larger groups of friends are less likely to suffer from illnesses, recover faster from surgery, and are just less likely to die, in general. As for why two hangouts a week is most beneficial, professor of evolutionary psychology Dr.Robin Dunbarsays that their findings show this is the amount of time we typically spend with our closest friends and family.

So if you’re looking for an excuse to spend another night out with your besties, this is it! It doesn’t matter what you guys do, so long as you’re with people you love. According to Dunbar, “the key to maintaining strong friendships is to meet up twice a week.”

Wisconsin City Considering Anti-Bullying Ordinance That Would Fine Parents

How responsible should you be if your kid does something stupid. Okay, how responsible should you be if your kid does something terrible. That’s the question at play in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin – where lawmakers are considering putting into place an anti-bullying ordinance that would fine parentsif their children bully others.

Earlier this month, the Wisconsin Rapids’ Legislative Committee voted unanimously to recommend the ordinance to the Common Council – that body will consider it on June 18th(Tuesday).

Apparently, the move was inspired by a viral social media incident, which showed a local middle school girl getting handwritten notes from her peers urging her to kill herself. If passed, the measure would hold parents and guardians responsible for such behavior – the first fineable offense would be $50, with additional costs bringing the total to $313. Parents would receive a written warning first.

New Honda Mower Can Hit 100 MPH -We aren’t sure why it’s necessary, but there’s a lawn mower that can go well over 100 mph. The thing’s so cool it already broke a record.

Honda's new Mean Mower V2 has broken a Guinness World Record, to be precise. The riding lawnmower can go from zero-to-100 miles per hour in six-point-29 seconds and hit a top speed of just over 150 miles per hour. This compares to an average riding mower that zips along at around five to six miles per hour.

To meet Guinness qualifications in addition to speed, the Mean Mower had to be able to actually cut grass and look like a functional mower. Honda's first Mean Mower debuted in 2014 and was only able to hit a top speed of 116 miles per hour.

You may want to buy a helmet to ride this with!
