Study: What Women Are Really Looking For In A Partner

What do you really want in a partner? It may seem like a simple question, but when you really try to pinpoint what attracts you to someone else, it’s not so easy. But a newstudyoffers insight into what thousands of women are looking for in a mate.

The Ideal Partner Survey — a collaboration between the menstrual cycle tracking app Clue, the University of Göttingen in Germany and MyONE Condoms — asked 64,000 women in 180 countries what they wanted in a partner and the most important factor won by a landslide. The top trait to 88.9% of women is “kindness.” Coming in a close second was “supportiveness” at 86.5%, followed by “intelligence” with 72.3%.

Women do still care about appearance, but according to the survey, only 22.3% thought an “attractive body” was important. And qualities including an attractive face, ambition, assertiveness, and financial security all ranked behind whether or not someone was kind and considerate.

That may be surprising in today’s world, butVirginia J. Vitzthum, senior scientist at the Kinsey Institute and Clue's lead researcher on the project, explains that kindness is "like gravity — essential but little-noticed until it's gone."

Major Recall: Breast Implants Linked to Rare Cancer

The pharmaceutical company Allergan is recalling a type of breast implant that has been linked to a rare form of cancer.

The FDA requested the recall after Allergan's "BIOCELL" textured implant and tissue expanders were linked to a type of lymphoma.

The FDA found 481 unique cases of the form of cancer and has attributed at least 13 patient deaths to Allergan implants alone. FDA officials say the cancer link was first discovered in 2011, but new evidence linking the disease to Allergan's implants surfaced as recently as a few months ago.

Dunkin’ Gets In On The Plant-Based Meat Trend

Another restaurant is adding a Beyond Meat item to menus. This time it’s Dunkin’, who is serving the plant-based meat in a breakfast sandwich featuring Beyond Meat’s faux sausage. The Beyond Sausage sandwich is available now at some Manhattan locations, with a national rollout coming in the future.

The chain claims to be the first U.S. restaurant brand to serve a breakfast sandwich featuring the Beyond Meat’s meatless sausage. But how does it taste? According to Dunkin’ Brands CEO David Hoffmann, “It’s a damn good product.”

This is The Number One Thing 64,000 Women Want From a Lover: Survey

Kindness is the number one quality women overwhelmingly want to see in their lover, according to one of the most extensive surveys on what women look for in a long-term partner, compiled by social science researchers at the University of Göttingen in Germany and the female health app Clue. The survey polled more than 64,000 people in 180 countries, asking them about their ideal match — from religious or political preferences to the importance of height. Almost 90% of the women rank kindness highest among desirable qualities, followed closely by supportiveness at 86.5%. Intelligence received about 72% of the vote; level of education had 64.5%; and rounding out the Top 5 is confidence, with a little over 60%. Notice “attractiveness” did not top the list. That might explain why the “average” body type (looking at you, dad bods!) was vastly preferred over “very muscular” types, with 44.8% versus a marginal 2.5%, respectively.

Cheez-Its New Box Is Half Crackers, Half Wine

Today (July 25th) is National Wine and Cheese Day and Cheez-It has the perfect way to celebrate. The cheesy crackers now come in a dual-sided box with wine on one side. The combo comes from the clever folks at Kellogg and House Wine and one half of the big box is Original Cheez-Its and the other half is a red wine blend, made with 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot.

We know you’re wondering how much wine you get with this deal and they didn’t skimp - the box holds the equivalent of four bottles or 20 glasses, so there’s enough to share, if you’re so inclined.

The boxes are $25 each and available onOriginal House Wine’s websitestarting today at 5pm ET. And if you want to snag one for your next wine and cheese night, don’t wait because it’s a while-supplies-last situation and they probably won’t last long.
