Equifax May Not be Able To Cover Its Breach Settlement -It looks like Equifax might not be able to send everyone a settlement check.

The Federal Trade Commission is warning that the money may run out. The payment option of 125-dollars is capped at 31-million dollars from the 2017 cybersecurity breach and the response has been overwhelming.

Consumers who haven't submitted a claim are now being urged to consider free credit monitoring instead. That option is worth hundreds of dollars and comes with identity theft insurance and restoration services for between four and six years.

For those who've already chosen the cash option, emails will be sent out to either submit more information or switch to free credit monitoring. You’re only eligible for the cash if you’ve paid for credit monitoring.

Boy Gets 526 Teeth Removed From His Mouth:Nobody likes going to the dentist for fear of what they may find.Well, one seven-year-old boy went and found out that he had a few extra teeth hidden away. The boy had a swollen right cheek and what the dentist found was that tucked away in his lower jaw were 526 hidden teeth that had to be removed surgically. The abnormal teeth were embedded in his jaw bone and could not be seen from outside his mouth. They ended up removing all the extra teeth and left him with the 21 normal teeth he had. The doctors couldn't find a reason as to why he had so many extra teeth hidden away like that but pointed to possible radiation exposure or some sort of genetic defect. The previous record for teeth being removed was 232 back in 2017 from a boy in Mumbai. They say everything else is just fine and he should now worry about not getting any cavities as he gets older.

A 92-Year-Old Woman Breaks Sprinting World Record

Diane Hoffmanjust beat the world record for her age group in the 400-meter dash at the USA Track and Field Competition in Boston and she’s not slowing down, even though she just celebrated her 92nd birthday. The grandmother of nine is even more impressive because she just took up running last year!

Hoffman swears she’s “not a runner,” and that she’s just really competitive. She’s been an avid tennis player since she was in her 40s and has won so many awards for the sport, she’s now in the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Tennis kept her running and after a walk with her son and grandson last year left them eating her dust, her son signed her up for a race, without telling her first.

So she ran her first 100-meter dash and smashed her competition, winning the U.S. record in that category. At this year’s event, she also nabbed the U.S. record in her age group for the 100- and 200-meter dash.

This granny says she’s living her healthiest and happiest life. Hoffman eats cookies, candy and ice cream every day, but she also keeps moving. “When I get up and feel like staying in bed all day, I drink coffee, water, and get on a trampoline for one or two minutes,” she says. “I’m very blessed, I’m telling you someone’s looking out for me.”

Legislator Proposing Ban On "Mindless Scrolling" For Smartphones -Now that society is full on addicting to screen time, tech companies are trying to protect us from ourselves.

Apple iPhones have a “Screen Time” feature that sets time limits on phone usage, Facebook is focusing on “time well spent” and has a “Your Time On Facebook” section.

That’s not enough for the youngest senator in Congress, 39-year-oldJosh Hawleyof Missouri. He’s proposed the Social Media Addiction Reduction Technology Act (SMART). The bill aims to remove features like infinite scrolling, auto refill and auto play of content that keep consumers using apps and platforms.

Hawley’s bill says it will “Prohibit social media companies from using practices that exploit human psychology or brain psychology to substantially impede freedom of choice, to require social media companies to take measures to mitigate the risks of internet addiction and psychological exploitation, and for other purposes.”

Good luck with that.
