Study Finds Women Really Are Better at Remembering Events Than Men

According to a new study out of Sweden, women really ARE better at remembering events than men.

It's because women are better at something called "episodic memory," which is the ability to remember both short-term and long-term events . . . like whether you took your medicine this morning, or the day you adopted your dog.

Women are also better at remembering faces and smells.

The study found men are better at remembering things that involve something called "spatial processing," like where you parked your car or directions to different places. Do you agree with this? Do you think you have "episodic memory" or not?

New Vending Machine Features High End Items, Including An Engagement Ring

Vending machines can certainly be convenient when you’re dying for that 3pm snack, or are in desperate need of a drink, but now a new vending machine is offering folks more than just snacks and beverages.

Believe it or not, a new set of vending machines installed in New York’s Rockefeller Center offer folks the options of getting anything from sandwiches and cookies, to a Brooks Brothers shirt...and even an engagement ring.

The six vending machines are located in the series of concourses that run through the 14 buildings that make up Rockefeller Center. For those who need a last minute engagement ring, the vending machine option will set them back $800 but as of now there hasn’t been any takers.

While there are plenty of stores within walking distance of Rockefeller Center where folks could pick up a ring, say like Tiffany’s, the vending machines are there to serve a specific type of customer. AsEB Kelly, managing director of Rockefeller Center, explains, “We have people who might need something first thing in the morning or later at night when other stores are closed."

Here’s How To Know If Boo Isn’t Ready To Define The “Relationship”

If boo isn’t ready to make things exclusive, they’ll let you know.It may not be a straight-forward “I don’t want to date you.” It’s probably gonna be more of the “change the exclusive subject” to the “you’re so beautiful” compliments to take your mind off it.

Here’s some other signsElite Dailysays you should look out for:

  • They Don't Talk About The Future AT ALL.-Founder of Ohnaahnaah Nadia-Elysse Harris says, "They avoid making plans too far into the future with you." So they’re not buying those Coachella tickets until the day before.
  • They're Not Trying To Introduce You As Anything More Than A Friend.- You finally hang with their friends and they intro you as their “friend.” Such a smack in the face after you guys have been hanging out every day before that.
  • If They Do Talk About The Future, TheyDon'tUse "We."- They’re clearly not bringing you to the potential marriage world.

It’s all in the signs!

Hurry Up! Modern Patience Thresholds Lower Than Ever Before, Technology To Blame

Patience is a virtue, but it’s becoming an exceedingly rare quality in modern society. According to a new survey of 2,000 British adults, all of the luxuries of modern life have made most people incredibly impatient — across pretty much every aspect of their lives. Three quarters of those surveyed said they believe the dominance of digital technology, such as smartphones and on-demand TVs, are to blame for this ever-growing lack of patience. Respondents reported becoming frustrated after just 16 seconds of waiting for a web page to load, and after 25 seconds of waiting for a traffic light to change. Commissioned by stationery supply company BIC, the survey revealed that 38% of respondents had lost their patience while trying to take notes and keep up with a speaker during a class or work meeting. Surprisingly, 95% of respondents still admitted that they believe patience is a virtue.
