It’s no secret that a lot of people have stress in their life, and don’t always know how to get rid of it. Well, the Dutch seem to have a very interesting method of de-stressing which may just be perfect for you. It’s called: Niksen
Basically translates to “do nothing,” which means folks can de-stress by either doing exactly that,nothing...or doing something without a real purpose. What exactly does all that entail?
- Well, some examples include looking out a window without thinking or lying on a sofa and listening to music.
- It can be anything, possibly even monotonous, that will keep you from thinking about what needs to get done in your life like appointments, commitments and such.
Of course that isn’t always easy, but experts believe by allowing yourself to do nothing the body’s stress levels will automatically decline. Plus they note that folks can actually be inspired by things when they are doing nothing special, which results in some fresh ideas.
