No matter how prepared you are for your Thanksgiving dinner, you’re bound to forget something you need for cooking. And chances are, you won’t realize it until you’re in the kitchen on Thanksgiving morning. Fortunately, a bunch of grocery stores will be open for all your last-minute needs.
Here are the ones you can count on, just call your local store before running out to confirm they’re open:
- Acme Markets: Most stores will be open 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Albertsons: Some stores will open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- Cub Foods: Most stores should be open 24 hours that day.
- Fairway Market: Most stores will open 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
- Food Lion: All stores are open regular hours.
- The Fresh Market: All stores will be open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Hannaford: Some stores will open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Some stores are closed.)
- Harris Teeter: All stores will be open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- H-E-B: All stores will open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

According to a recent study many husbands still want to be the “man of the house.” In fact, if a man’s wife starts contributing even half of the household income, he starts suffering psychological distress. Dr. Joanna Syrda, an economist at the University of Bath’s School of Management, studied more than 6,000 American heterosexual couples over 15 years. And she found that men were at their most anxious when they were the sole breadwinners at home, burdened with the responsibility of paying all the bills. But their stress also spiked if their wives became the breadwinners, instead. In fact, most husbands weren’t even comfortable with splitting expenses 50-50.

- How Close Of Friends Are You Really?“If you are tangentially friends, it may be best to avoid the situation,” licensed clinical social workerMelanie Shapiroexplains. If you’re not close with this “friend” you may not even know their situation. Maybe they’re in an open relationship? You shouldn’t get yourself involved unless it’s someone you hold dear.
- Put Yourself In Your Friend’s Shoes.Would you want to know if your partner was being unfaithful to you? Would you want to hear it from your friend? Would you believe them? Sugar Is Detected In A Meteorite For The First Time -Sugar exists outside of our planet. It’s hard to believe, but now we’ve got proof.
That’s because the subatance has been detected inside a meteorite for the first time. Japanese researchers and NASA scientists were able to identify sugar on two meteorites using a process that sorts molecules according to mass and electric charge. The lead author of the study detailing the find says it's the first direct evidence of the delivery of sugar to Earth.
Why is this such a big deal? Extraterrestrial sugar might have led to the formation of ribonucleic acid (RNA) on the early earth, which may have led to the origin of life.
Researchers will continue to study the space rocks. The news builds on other recent news about our universe. Last January, researchers found that two meteorites held other ingredients for life: amino acids, hydrocarbons, other organic matter, and traces of liquid water that could date to the earliest days of our solar system.
