Half Of Millennials Would Take A Pay Cut To Save The Planet

Are you an employer looking to cut costs in 2020? Apparently, you can save your company some serious paper,if you switch to going paperless.

Who knows who they’re talking to, but according to a new survey, one in four workers say they'dtake a pay cut to do work that’s better for the environment. Our generation must account for most of the heavy lifting in that projection because the researchers determined when you focus only on the millennials surveyed, that figure jumps to half.

But how much? While Generation Xers said they’d be willing to give up about $5k a year, Millennials said they’d drop a close to whopping $15k. Shh…Don’t tell our student loan officers.

Yes, it turns out Going Green is a trend all businesses should be following if they hope to attract new employees. The survey found 60% of jobseekers researched an employer’s environmental credentials and 80% of employees thought companies had a responsibility to look after the Earth.
