Now You Can Get Pregnancy Tests Delivered To Your Door
If you’ve ever run into your nosey coworker or neighbor while buying a home pregnancy test at the store, you know how awkward that moment can be. It happened toCynthia Plotch, but it was even worse - she ran into her boyfriend’s mom when shopping for a pregnancy test. She called her friend,Jamie Norwoodin tears after the encounter and they discussed how the system was broken, then realized they were the ones who could fix it.
The women then came up with their solution:Stix. It’s a direct-to-consumer home pregnancy test company that sends the tests to your door. They come in a two-pack, are FDA-approved and more than 99% accurate, the same as tests like Clearblue and First Response that you buy at the store. And if you’re trying to get pregnant or just like checking your status regularly, Stix offers a subscription service, as well as a home ovulation test.
The tests are packaged in paper pouches and come in mail slot-sized envelopes, with no return labels, so they’re looking out for your privacy. And that’s something you don’t get when comparing boxes of pregnancy tests at the store. “Everything about Stix is designed to bring women peace of mind,” says Plotch. “Because no matter what outcome you’re looking for and no matter what outcome you get, this is a high-anxiety moment.”

You Should Be Using Your Email’s Vacation Response More Often
The sheer amount of time spent in America checking email must be staggering. Even when you leave your computer to go to the bathroom, your phone follows you with that never-ending reminder you need to respond to people immediately.Fight your brain’s programming with a little re-programming of your email account.
Start using an out of office message more often. If you’re constantly distracted by email, one of the best things you can do for yourself is switch to checking it only at certain times. Once you’ve figured out your schedule, you can let your coworkers know with an automatic response advising them approximately when you’ll be responding.
At a loss for words on your auto-reply? Experts suggest something like this:
- Thanks for your email. I’m currently heads-down on a major project and will only be reading and responding to emails first thing in the morning and at the end of the workday. Should your email need immediate attention, please contact me via phone. Otherwise, expect an email response from me at the end of the day or first thing in the morning.
Ideally, you will only have to program this message during a week you’re working on something big and need to cut out distractions. But if email is a non-stop issue, you could put a note in your email signature that lets people know your typical response time and when you’re usually available.

Study: People Often Pick Their Airbnb Based On The Attractiveness Of Host
Sure the pictures of the place are important when picking out an Airbnb, but be honest, you’ve checked out the pics of the host on their profile as well. You might tell yourself it’s to vet them to see if they look‘murdery,’but deep down you know you want them to be attractive. You’re not alone.
New research wanted to find what characteristics of hosts’ photos made potential renters think they were trustworthy. Turns out, the number one thing you can do to seem honest is tobe super hot.According to the study, attractive hosts were deemed to be the most trustworthy.
But if you’re not good looking, hopefully you’re at least an older woman. The study found men are viewed as less trustworthy and the younger you are, the morepotential for sketchinesspeople think you have.To put it in “Home Alone” terms, people would rather rent from the Pigeon Lady thanKevin McCallister.
But let’s say you’re a young man trying to start a successful Airbnb, there are a couple of things you can do. First, smile for the camera, and second, get a better camera. Hosts that were smiling and had unblurry pics seemed both more attractive, and more trustworthy. And if you can add in some friends into the image, that would help too because hosts interacting with other people make them seem honorable. Also, don’t forget you could always just get really, really hot.

Only 2% Percent Of The World Population Has Green Eyes
Lots of traits are statistically rare: Left-handedness (just 10 percent of the population!), curly hair (11 percent!), and blond hair (four percent!), to name a few. But of the more than seven billion people on the planet, only two-percent can claim to have this one special trait. (To put that in perspective, that’s 140 million people).
So what’s this rare trait only one in fifty of us possess? Green eyes. That’s right, just two percent of the world’s population is lucky enough to have ’em, according to World Atlas. Compare that to other eye colors. For example, some 79 percent of the population has brown eyes, while eight percent has blue. About five percent of people have hazel eyes and another five-percent have amber eyes.
Simply put, green eyes are incredibly unique. Green eyes are most common in Central, Western, and Northern Europe, and typically point to Celtic or German ancestry. At the moment, they’re most prevalent in Britain, Iceland, the Netherlands, Scotland, Estonia, and Scandinavia. In fact, according to a study conducted by ScotlandsDNA, in Britain, brown eyes are rarer than green. There, 22 percent of the population has brown eyes, compared to the jaw-dropping 30 percent that has green.
