Most Grads Would Change Majors If They Could Redo College

While going back to school may seem like a nightmare, some college graduates would go back in a heartbeat. And this time around, they’d do it a lot differently.

Although most say their degree was worth the money, a new survey finds nearly two-thirds of grads say they’d change their major if they could do it over. And what they would go back for basically comes down to age. According to the study, older generations wish they could go back and focus on their passions.Good luck trying to find a job with an arts degree, Grandma!

Meanwhile, 31% of millennials say they’d pick a major that would lead to a better job. And it’s not a shocker that our generation wouldn’t jump at the chance toredo our student loan disastersunless we ended up getting paid more. Especially if you consider that more than a quarter of millennials surveyed say their undergraduate degree didn’t even teach them the skills they regularly use in their current jobs.

NASA is Now Accepting Applications for New Astronauts

It’s never too late to fulfill that childhood dream. NASA announced Monday that it is accepting applications for new astronauts who could wind up walking on the moon — and maybe even Mars.

The space agency says it’s looking for a few good men and women to fill its ranks as it aims to return to the moon by 2024 and to land on Mars by the mid-2030s. “America is closer than any other time in history since the Apollo program to returning astronauts to the Moon. We will send the first woman and next man to the lunar South Pole by 2024, and we need more astronauts to follow suit on the Moon, and then Mars,” said NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine in a release. “We’re looking for talented men and women from diverse backgrounds and every walk of life to join us in this new era of human exploration that begins with the Artemis program to the Moon. If you have always dreamed of being an astronaut, apply now.”

But scoring one of the coveted jobs won’t be a walk in the park. The last time the agency took applications for new astronauts in 2015, 18,300 people applied — and just 11 were selected, CNN reported. Applicants must be US citizens and have an advance degree in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics field, as well as a minimum of two years of “related professional experience,” or at least 1,000 hours piloting a jet.

Woman Waters Plant For Two Years Before Realizing It Was Fake

A woman took to Facebook to rant about a lie that she had been living with over the last two years. It turns out that a stay-at-home mom from California had been caring for a beautiful plant that turned out to be nothing more than a fake.

Caelie Wilkes’dream of being a nurturing plant parent died on the vine when she realized the succulent she’d been caring for was a total fake.  She made the discovery after she tried to transfer the plant from its pot to a vase. That's when her whole world was turned upside down.

She ranted on Facebook about her experience and her story has certainly hit a chord with many people.
