How To Cope During The Coronavirus Toilet Paper Shortage

For some people, the coronavirus has made them think non-stop about not touching their faces. For others, going number two is the number one thing on their mind. More specifically, how are they going to dotheir businessif all the toilet paper in their house and at the store is gone?

Poo panic is real and lots of people are freaking out about toilet paper. You may have even noticed supplies running low at your grocery store of choice. But here’s something that may bring you some relief during this global crisis. Most of the world does just fine without doo-doo paper, and you can too!

May we recommend taking this chance to jump on the bidet train? Save a tree and switch to water. Asyour one friend who study abroadhas probably told you, it’s actually a much more hygienic way to clean your bum. You wouldn’t rub your body down with a dry towel and call it a shower right?

Don’t really have bidet money right now? That’s fine! Make a DIY “lota” or washing jug like you’d find in some Asian or UK homes and restaurants. They’re shaped like a teapot with a long spout to direct the water where it needs to go. Alternatively, you can use a clean bottle and go to town. Here’s how it works:

  1. Fill your jug, lota or bottle with lukewarm water and have it ready next to your porcelain throne.
  2. Do your business and stay on the toilet. Think of your jug as a mini shower head to clean yourself just as you would when bathing.
  3. Lean forward, back or to the side, pouring the water as you go – you want a steady, gentle flow if you can. Aim water at your dirty bits and use your hand to wash until you feel clean.
  4. Dry off, get dressed and wash your hands thoroughly with soap.

Congrats! You can now go number two when the apocalypse happens!

Will Coronavirus Quarantine Lead To Baby Boom?

“Shark Tank” investor Daymond John says that quarantines, lockdowns and fear of public places will have one very good side effect: a coronavirus baby boom. “We definitely will see a baby boom, 100 percent,” the Brooklyn-born FUBU founder told TMZ when asked about the possibility. “Yeah, we absolutely will. It’s like when the blackout happened in New York and everybody stayed at home. It’s a whole bunch of babies nine months later.” John also thinks Americans stuck working from home as they hide from the virus stand to benefit from the time shaved off their commutes. “What are [Americans] going to do when they stay home,” he notes. “You know, if Twitter’s going to close down and say, ‘Hey, everybody’s gotta work from home,’ and you save three hours every single day.”
