Nearly 27-hundred blood drives have been canceled nationwide because of the coronavirus. That would have been 86-thousand donations. This has led to a severe shortage which could affect patients counting on lifesaving blood.

The Red Crosssays it's taken steps to ensure blood drives and donation centers are safer than ever. If you’re healthy and ready to help in this crisis, sign up to donate. And don’t worry about germs. The organization has taken extraordinary steps to keep the centers clean.

Amazon Suspends Shipments of Non-Essential Products to Warehouses Amid Coronavirus-Driven Shortages

Amazon is banning sellers from shipping any non-essential items to its warehouses as it grapples with overwhelming demand for basic staple items as the coronavirus pandemic continues to grow. The Seattle-based e-tailing giant sent an email to sellers Tuesday announcing that it would only be accepting “household staples, medical supplies, and other high-demand products” for the next three weeks so that it can “more quickly receive, restock, and deliver” the products to customers.

“We are seeing increased online shopping, and as a result some products such as household staples and medical supplies are out of stock,” Amazon told sellers, according to an email obtained by NBC. Sellers who use the Fulfillment by Amazon program normally send their goods to Amazon’s warehouses, which store and deliver the products for a fee.

Goods in high demand include baby products, groceries, pet supplies and personal care products. Amazon has announced plans to hire 100-thousand additional warehouse and delivery workers to deal with the surge in orders. It also said it would raise the pay for its current workers by $2 an hour through the end of April. Shares of Amazon were up 6.4 percent Tuesday morning, at $1,796.38.

Woman Discovers Bar of Soap She’s Been Washing Her Hands With Says is Block of Cheese

Miley from Vancouver Washington has become the laughing stock of the Internet after revealing she has spent the past few days mistakenly washing her hands with a block of cheese, rather than a bar of soap.

Unfortunately, she instead succeeded in spreading some rather mature looking cheddar on her hands over the course of several days.

Sharing her sorry tale on Reddit, Miley explained how the cheese ended up being mistaken for a bit of soap after it was left out of the fridge following a drunken late night snack.

Waking the next morning, she assumed that the lump was the remnants of a bar of soap. She also was keen to stress that she does actually keep a bar of yellow, unscented soap nearby for such use with the two evidently getting mixed up.

"Just realized my soap wasn’t working because it’s literally a block of cheese,” she wrote.

“I use a liquid soap for the dishes, bar soap like this is gentler on my hands after I do chores if that makes any sense [sic].”

“It was a couple days of 'Why isn’t this foaming?!' "I come to realize it was a dried-out square of Tillamook sharp cheddar cheese.

“I suspect I left it out when I was intoxicated and just forgot.”

Dunkin switches to "to go" only: Dunkin’ is following in the footsteps of Starbucks and switching to “to-go” only in light of the coronavirus pandemic. As of yesterday, the coffee and donut giant started limiting service to drive-thru ordering, carry-out, and delivery only. Tables and chairs are being removed from all locations, and they are encouraging people to order through their app to limit the amount of person-to-person contact needed. They are also reducing hours to provide relief for restaurant employees and to allow extra time for deep cleaning and sanitation processes in the evening. Source:Dunkin
