New Instagram Feature Lets You Order Delivery & Restaurant Gift Cards

Instagram is rolling out a new feature to make it easier for restaurants, bars, and other small businesses to connect with customers. Businesses can share stickers for gift cards, food delivery, or fundraisers in their Stories and on their profiles and others can re-share those stories on their personal accounts.

This will make it easier to spread the word about which restaurants are still offering takeout or have started fundraisers to help pay staff and bills. They’ll also have a “gift cards” button so customers can buy those online.

The gift card and food order features are available in the U.S. and Canada now and Instagram says they’ll be adding the donate to fundraisers function soon. So they’re making it easier for us to support our favorite restaurants and they’re not charging commission on these transactions.

How about inviting a llama to your next Zoom meeting?

A farm in Silicon Valley is offering a way of breaking up the monotony of those Zoom phone calls and video chats -- how about adding a llama or goat to to the conversation.

Sweet Farms has created a way to do just that with their new app Goat 2 Meeting, named after the popular conferencing software. It allows users to bring farm animals to be a part of your next happy hour or conference call, the company’s cofounder Anna Sweet tells Business Insider.

So far, it seems to be a hit. Since opening up in March, Goat 2 Meeting has had more than 300 requests, appearing in meetings for Fortune 500 companies and tech startups, according to Sweet. One of them came from a law firm whose whose lawyers brought their kids along to a virtual happy hour so they could meet the animals and get a virtual tour of the farm.

Prices range from from $65-$250 for various interactions with the animals, which include goats, sheep, pigs, cows, turkeys, and llamas -- the most popular choice, according to Anna.

Those interested in booking a Goat 2 Meeting can do so here.

Apple Is Offering Up A Cheaper iPhone - If you want an iPhone but don’t like the pricetag, Apple has apparently heard you.

The tech giant is offering a cheaper version of its popular iPhone that has a smaller screen. The iPhone S-E goes on sale Friday for about 400-dollars and will start being delivered by April 24th.

The display is the same size of the older iPhone 8 at four-point-seven inches. It comes in three colors -- black, white and red. There are higher price tags for more memory.

The iPhone 11 sells for about twice the price and an iPhone 11 Pro costs about a thousand-dollars.

Survey says Americans now binge-watching eight hours a day while in quarantine

It's no secret that we're binging more TV than ever, now that we have nothing better to do. But a new survey shows that Americans are streaming, on average, eight hours of programming a day during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A survey of 2,000 Americans who have access to streaming services revealed not only that, but also that the average streaming user in this country has binge-watched three shows in the past week. That's not surprising, considering three in four Americans say they've been watching more of such content since the pandemic began spreading.

The survey, conducted by OnePoll on behalf of the streaming platform Tubi, also revealed that 65% of parents have been allowing their kids to watch more TV while everyone's in lockdown.

And though there are millions of hours of shows and movies online, most of us are watching the same stuff over and over: 56% of the respondents say they frequently re-watch a show instead of starting something new.

The poll noted that the average person in this country has access to four streaming services, with 38% admitting they frequently check out five or more.

How can we afford it? Well, 42% admit they've shared or received a streaming service password from another person since the lockdown began. Two in five say they've used their ex's passwords to do so.

Half of those polled say they've canceled a service once they've caught up on a must-watch show, while a third of respondents admitting to lying about having seen a show that everyone was talking about.
