Celebrity Hairdresser Pays $50k To Clone His Bulldog, Make Quarantine Bearable

Celebrity hairdresser Roberto Novo has shelled out a staggering $50,000 to clone his beloved French bulldog, who died on February 2019. Mr. Novo had Machito for 14 years, and the dog was doted on by his celebrity clients, including Grace Jones, Alec Baldwin and John Galliano, according to Yahoo News.

Machito's adorable genetic duplicate – who has been named Machitwo – arrived on February 7ththis year...exactly one year after Machito died.

"Machito was the son I never had," Roberto Novo said to SWNS. "Fourteen years was not long enough, I needed him for at least 14 years more and that's why I decided to clone him."

The hairdresser began the cloning process with Texas company ViaGen Pets in early 2019, when Machito's health was beginning to decline.

While Mr. Novo had planned to meet Machitwo earlier, travel restrictions due to COVID-19 delayed his plans. He was finally able to meet his new puppy on April 10, and says that the meeting had him so emotional, he was crying.

The puppy is helping make the quarantine bearable for Mr. Novo, who lives in New York - the epicenter of the outbreak in USA.

Marie Kondo’s Tips For Working At Home

The new reality for many of us, temporarily, is working from home. During this age of social distancing, we are now faced with creating a workspace in the pace where we live. It not only blurs the lines, but may force us to learn to share space with others in the house.

Luckily, Marie Kondo, the tidying expert, lays out some great advice in her new book “Joy At Work: Organizing Your Professional Life.” Not only does she explain sharing space, but how to declutter.

Here are some of her best tips:

  • Rethink how you’re storing the items that spark joy. Make the space matter.
  • Separate work from home by finding a ritual to help you go into work mode.
  • When sharing is necessary, tell each other your schedules and talk it out.
  • If your partner is messy, organize their work items on a tray, so they can simply be ready to go without cluttering your shared space.
  • Before the work day, find a way to be at peace. At the end of the say, focus on your accomplishments.

Are You Suffering from Quarantine Constipation? The Struggle is Real!

Thanks to COVID-19, we’ve all had to figure out a new normal. Working from home, social distancing, and spending so much time indoors has changed day-to-day life in various ways. Those changes include our toilet habits. And that's given rise to a new term, “quarantine constipation." Understanding why some people are becoming constipated during lockdown begins with the circadian rhythm—a natural process in the brain that regulates the sleep-wake cycle and repeats more or less every 24 hours. The colon has its own circadian rhythm that’s easily disrupted by a lack of physical exercise, poor sleep, changes in eating schedules, and stress, says Dr. Robert Lerrigo, MD, gastroenterologist at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, California.

  • Be honest, are you suffering from quarantine constipation? How real is your struggle?
