Shirtless Dating Profiles Hurt Men’s Chances Of Finding Online Love
Guys, no matter how hard you work to get those six-pack abs, it turns out gals looking for love online don’t necessarily want to see them in your profile picture.
A new Dating.com survey finds:
- Shirtless photos on dating profiles may play a big role in why men aren’t finding love online.
- In fact, on average, shirtless profile photos decrease a man’s chances of nabbing a match by 25%.
- This is despite 90% of men believing those shirtless photos help their chances at finding someone.
- What’s more, three out of every five male dating profiles features at least one shirtless photo.
- Those in the LGBTQ+ community are four times more likely to have a shirtless photo in their profile.
So, what is it about shirtless photos that gals find a turnoff?
- Well, 66% feel that it shows a lack of maturity and self-awareness.
- 76% of women say they wouldn’t consider a man with a shirtless photo for a committed relationship.
- 15% would be okay with a possible hookup, while 9% would consider a friendship.
As for women, the less clothes they’re wearing seems to help with their potential matches (shocker).
- 20% of female dating profiles contain at least one bikini/bathing suit picture.
- Those women saw more than a 40% increase in overall matches, as compared to those with more covered up profiles.

New Dating App Caters To People Who Have Or Want Kids
There are more than13-million single parentsin the U.S. and half of people between the ages of 20 and 45report wanting children,but that’s not really what you want to start a Tinder conversation off with. So for these single parents and folks who want to be parents, finding matches on dating apps can be challenging. But now there’s a new one out that was created specifically for them. It’s calledheybabyand it’s an app for people with kids or who want kids.
It was even founded by three dads -Diko Daghlian, Chas McFeelyandRene Van De Zande- and their idea was to create an app that takes away the anxiety that comes with trying to find a partner with similar life plans. When users sign up for heybaby, they answer questions about their family and what they want in the future, like if they have kids and if they want more. They also answer questions about work life and travel preferences, to try to find a good match on multiple levels. The creators hope this helps to connect people who have compatible approaches to parenting - not just people who have or want kids.
“As much as we’re looking to create love between two people,” Daghlian explains, “we’re also looking to create happy and healthy families for life.”

Tabby: A New Dating App For Cat Lovers
A recentstudyfinds that women are less likely to swipe right on guys if they’re posing with cats in their dating profile pics, which is bad news for single men who are into cats. But they’ll be thrilled to know there’s now a dating app made specifically for feline fans.Tabbywas created by sistersLeighandCasey Isaacson, who say it’s designed “for both cat lovers and cat owners.”
On Tabby, “cat-lovers will be able to meet each other, plan cat-friendly dates, get deals from cat companies and share videos, photos and stories all while their cats are in their element - at home.” It’s also launching in time forInternational Cat Daycoming up on August 8.
And if you’re looking for love but you’re more of a dog person, the sisters have thought of you, too. Leigh and Casey also recently launchedDig, a dating app for dog lovers, folks who “live a dog-forward lifestyle” and want to connect romantically with someone with a similar mindset. It presents users with five potential dates every day and they can choose whether they “dig,” “really dig” or “pass” on the matches. When two people “dig” each other, Dig suggests dog-friendly first date ideas.

The man says he even spent a small fortune on a three-story villa shaped like a giant camera. He says he spent around $95,000 on the home that is shaped like a giant vintage camera, complete with a lens-shaped window, flash, and even a giant SD card.
He says he's been obsessed with photography since childhood and while he wasn't always the best student in school, but he was a wiz with his Pentax and Zenit cameras shooting pictures. He was always confident he could make a living as a photographer and he was right. As business picked up, he opened his own studio and named it after his wife,Rani. Then, as his three sons were born, he named them after some of the most iconic camera brands in the history of photography.
