Weeks After Adopting Four Siblings, Mom Gets Pregnant With Quadruplets
A couple in Pennsylvania who always wanted a large family is getting their wish and they’re nothing but grateful.MaxineandJake Youngstarted on the road to parenthood in 2017, when they became foster parents to four young siblings. They had a biological son in 2018 and officially adopted their four foster kids in December 2019 and they were a happy family of seven. And then just a few weeks later, they were shocked to find out Maxine was pregnant … with quadruplets!
This mom says she didn’t even think she could get pregnant without IVF, which she had to do with her son,Henry. But those four babies happened all naturally and that’s really rare. The odds of getting naturally pregnant with quads is around one in 1-million! So not only were the Youngs shocked, their doctors were, too. The couple packed up and headed across the country to Arizona, so Maxine could be under the care of a doctor there who specializes in pregnancies of multiples.
Last month, she made it to 32 weeks and the four babies were born.Silas Ledger,Theo Alexander,Beck Killian, andCecilia Hudsonand mom are now back in Pennsylvania and the newborns are being monitored in a NICU there. Maxine says she’s both nervous and excited about the future, adding, “Luckily, they’re all doing really well, and we’re really grateful.”

Starbucks Ditches Straws For “Sippy Cup” Lids
If your go-to Starbucks order includes an iced beverage, you may see something a little different on your next coffee run. The chain has announced that they’re switching to strawless lids for iced drinks in company-run stores in the U.S. and Canada. The only exception? They’ll still be serving their blended Frappuccinos and other drinks that include whipped cream on top with domed lids, except where local laws prohibit it.
You’ve probably already seen the lids before, since Starbucks has been testing them for a year. But if not, you’ll get to see them in action soon because they’re hitting stores within the next week or so. They’ve been nicknamed “sippy cups” because they look sort of like those little kids cups. So why are they making the change? It’s all about using fewer single use straws - Starbucks is trying to prevent an estimated one billion of them a year from ending up in landfills. These new lids are also made with around 9% less plastic than the traditional flat lid and straw combo.
Michael Kobori, chief sustainability officer at Starbucks, explains the strawless lids are “another step in our journey to reduce our environmental footprint.” And if you just can’t imagine sipping on your Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew without a straw, don’t worry, you can still get one if you ask. But they are testing alternatives like compostable straws, so in the future it might not be that green plastic straw you’re used to.

Sam’s Club selling a spicy chicken sandwich, similar to Chick-fil-A:There’s no doubt Chick-fil-A is extremely popular but now you can get one of their most popular items without ever having to step foot in the fast food chain. Warehouse giant Sam’s Club has started selling a new Southern-style spicy chicken sandwich, which folks on the Internet insist taste just like Chick-Fil-A’s spicy sandwich. Sam’s Club’s version comes in a 10-pack, with the chicken coated in a breading of dill pickle-flavored batter and cayenne, although Sam’s Club insists it’s only a one on the spiciness scale. It also comes with its own buns. Source:Fox News
