When you’re a kid there are tons of things that you love to do, or even eat, that as an adult just don’t have the same effect on you, and now folks are sharing. ,A recent thread on Reddit asked folks “What’s something you loved as a kid but hate as a adult?” and people were more than happy to chime in.
One thing a lot of people brought up was mail, with one person noting, “Mail to me now is just junk that makes me annoyed about the waste of paper AND that I now have to deal with this sh*t I don't want.” Even emails are hated now, with on person sharing, “I was in college when I got an email address - was super excited to get an email. Now, I hate getting them because it’s either a stupid meeting or something I have to do/address at work.”
Other people pointed out that sleeping over a friend’s house is something they enjoyed as a kid, but aren’t into anymore. "Even if it’s 2 a.m., I always choose to pay for the 47-minute Uber ride home so I can sleep in my own bed and wake up in my own house!" one person shared.
Other things adults now hate include carnival rides, snow, swimming in public pools, making new friends, talking on the phone, and plenty of foods, including gelatin desserts, candy corn, frosting, canned pasta, buffets and fast-food. There were even people who admitted to now hating “other kids.”
