Let’s face it: bacon is arguably one of the greatest things on this planet. But making bacon is still a massive pain.
Between hot grease splattering you, and the fact that those little strips of heaven basically cook in their own fat, it's sometimes just not the effort.
However, Nostalgia Electrics, the makers of a new gadget called The Bacon Express, think they've got this licked. Their machine is basically a toaster for bacon: you open the sides, hang the raw slabs on, dial in your preferred level of crispiness, and wait.
The sleek-looking appliance cooks the bacon vertically, so the fat drips off to a separate tray, making the stuff healthier. Well, you know, it's still bacon, so, sort of. Not bad for $30.
