Buzz Aldrin Makes His New York Fashion Week Debut

Astronaut Buzz Aldrin has “boldly gone where no man has gone before” (thank you “Star Trek”) and had done all a man could do in life. Or so we thought.

The 87-year-old has been to the moon, but had never stepped foot on a catwalk, until yesterday at New York’s Fashion Week. Aldrin posed in a silver jacket and T-shirt that read “Get Your Ass To Mars” at Nick Graham’s New York Fashion Week: Men’s show.

Aldrin was excited at the opportunity. “I felt very much at home,” he beamed and then added that one of his catwalk poses was “Michael Jackson’s moonwalk,” and he further revealed he’d advised the King of Pop on that famous dance move.

“Michael went backwards, so I had to tell him, ‘You have to go forwards,’ ” Aldrin said. “[Jackson] said, ‘You don’t know what you are talking about.’ ”Source: Page Six
