The Chainsmokers’ single “Closer” was a huge hit with Halsey, but apparently the song almost sounded completely different. It seems that at one point former Fifth Harmony star Camila Cabello may have been in the running to sing on the tune, and now audio of her take on the track has surfaced online.
Of course, we’re pretty sure the EDM duo isn’t exactly upset they went with Halsey. The tune went on to spend 11 weeks at number one on the Hot 100, and 32 weeks in the Top Ten, tying a record set back in 1997 by LeAnn Rimes with “How Do I Live.”
