Census Shows Millennials Struggling To Enter Adulthood

Millennials can’t seem to get a foothold on independence.

A new census report shoes that 41% of males in the generation bracket aren’t even making 30-thousand dollars a year. In 1975, the number was only 25%. That, and the cost of college, is keeping about one-third of the generation under their parent’s roof.

Some experts say the lure of of blue collar job salaries are also part of the problem. Those jobs are dwindling and that means it’s only short term.

The census also noted that while 81% who live at home are either working or going to school, one in four are “idle” or not doing either.
