Another Company Is Promising A Flying Car "Soon"

There's another flying car on the market. As we previously reported, Dutch company PAL-V Europe NV plans to ship the first batch of their flying cars in three to five years. Now, a Slovakian company might beat them to it.

AeroMobil unveiled it's first flying car model, which holds two passengers with plane wings that can fold back like an insect. The company's site has an option to pre-order it now, but it won't come cheap.

Not only with drivers need to shell out between $1.3 and $1.6-million, but they'll need to have a pilot's license to fly it.

Photo published for AeroMobil’s flying car now available to preorder for only $1.3 million

Recommendations For The Perfect Dating Profile Pic

If you’re getting ready to dip your toe into the online dating pool one thing’s for sure, you need a perfect profile picture. And just because you look good in the photo you choose, doesn’t mean it will help you attract your perfect mate. Well, now the dating app Hinge analyzed their members profiles pics to come up with some suggestions on what they say are the most successful dating profile photo practices that will help you get the most likes by potential mates.

It seems women should go with a photo with their hair up, which will give them a 72% chance of getting more likes. They should also smile with their teeth (72%), look away from the camera (74%) and stand alone (69%). As for men, smiling without teeth gives them a 43% chance of more likes, and they should also look ahead (102%) and stand alone (11%).

As for the setting of a photo, images showing sports activities increase the chance of likes by 75%, while pics of a night out increase them by 74%. Also, black and white photos are a big help, showing a 106% chance of getting more likes, and spontaneous photos are also preferred.

And it seems one thing you want to stay away from is beach photos. Apparently folks don’t like seeing potential mates at the beach, with women 47% less likely and men 80% less likely to get a like with a beach photo. Another thing to stay away from is a Snapchat filter, with those pics decreasing the chances of getting a like by 90%, while bathroom selfies also decrease chances by 90%.

Today is National Chocolate-Covered Cashews Day

April 21st is National Chocolate-Covered Cashews Day! Somebody must have really loved those chocolate-covered cashew truffles to dedicate a day to this treat, but you need to admit a bowl filled with them wouldn’t last very long! The cashew nut itself is often eaten roasted, on it’s own, salted, sugared or for those sweet lovers, dipped in melted chocolate. To make yourself feel better about adding the chocolate, at least you’re eating a healthy nut- can’t be that bad! Celebrate by indulging in some tasty chocolate-covered cashews!

The Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino Is Here

Your daily Starbucks trip is about to get more colorful. While it’s been rumored for months, the coffee giant is finally set to add the once-secret Unicorn Frappuccino to the menu.

According to reports, the drink has officially become an option for customers, but it will only be available through Saturday.

The Unicorn Frappuccino seems to be tailor-made for spring with its beautiful pink and blue colors, but what does it actually taste like? While you may think it is raspberry or blueberry flavored because of the color, it’s actually made with mango syrup mixed with a sweet pink powder. That’s then combined with a sour blue powder topping, and topped with vanilla whipped cream, for the unicorn horn, and a bit more sweet pink and sour blue topping. What’s more, the company says the drink changes color and flavor as you swirl it around.

So how does it taste? Well, according to one online reviewer, not that great. “The drink is good for any kid who loves sour candy and has underdeveloped taste buds," the reviewer writes. “The drink is just a hot mess with a cute appearance.”

Study Says Morning Classes Are Bad For College Students, College Students Say ‘We Know’

Science has finally confirmed what every college student already knew to be true. According to a study published in Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, college’s students aren’t fully awake until 10:00 A.M. So all of those 8:00 A.M. or 9:00 A.M. classes that feel like a drag actually are a drag, because your body isn’t ready for you to learn yet.

And don’t think it’s because college students are “lazy” either. According to the research performed by Mariah Evans, Jonathan Kelley and Paul Kelley, it’s a biological reason.

“There has been evidence over time from specific studies indicating that teenagers’ body clocks are set at a different time than older folks,” Evans reported. “Medical research suggests that this goes on well into your 20s. It has nothing to do with laziness. It’s not in their control. It’s to do with their bodies.”

This research doesn’t just impact college students either. It affects teenagers throughout middle and high school as well. School days often start well before 9:00 A.M., meaning that students sit through classes for almost two hours before their minds are ready to learn.

The researchers compared the impact of early morning classes to adults going to work at 5:00 A.M. It’s just not productive, beneficial, or pleasant for anyone.

Have You Ever Put Butter on a Pop-Tart?

In 2016, Buzzfeed conducted a poll asking if users put butter on their Pop-Tarts, and the answer was an overwhelming, "No, I am of sane and solid mind."

It should come as little surprise, then, that the internet's obsession with putting butter on a Pop-Tart doesn't come from a chef or a food writer, but a cartoon. Specifically an episode of Family Guy. There's a whole song about Pop-Tarts and butter, sung by Peter Griffin, accompanied by the always Hawaiian shirt-clad Quagmire. It's a minute-long clip that the AV Club called, "deeply, deeply stupid in a way that Peter and Family Guy in general can make oddly endearing."

Would You Go To An Ikea Restaurant?

Fast Company reports that Ikea is thinking about opening a few stand-alone restaurants in the future. “We’ve always called the meatballs ‘the best sofa-seller,’” head of food operations Gerd Diewald told FC. “Because it’s hard to do business with hungry customers. When you feed them, they stay longer, they can talk about their [potential] purchases, and they make a decision without leaving the store. That was the thinking right at the beginning." Ikea’s food section raked in about 1.8 billion dollars in 2016.

  • What’s your favorite thing to eat in Ikea?
  • Would you go to eat at an Ikea restaurant without the shopping?
