Flower Shop Owner Accused of Stealing Plants from Cemetery

Police say a flower shop owner stole plants and other items from graves at a New Jersey cemetery for months.

Capt. Christopher DePuyt says police installed surveillance cameras at the First Reformed Church Cemetery in Pequannock Township after two plants disappeared from the mausoleum and replacement plants were stolen two days later.

He says the cameras caught a woman in a minivan taking the plants and Riverdale officers recognized her as a former police dispatcher and current flower shop owner.

Authorities charged 59-year-old Lynda Wingate, of Riverdale, with the disorderly person's offense of theft of moveable property.

DePuyt says Wingate claimed she was cleaning up old flowers from graves of people she knew, but he says that isn't the case.

This Bra-Washing Hack Is Brilliant

If you’re like most of us, you don’t hand wash your bras and washing them in the machine is a pain, too. So we all end up wearing those things way longer than we should without washing them. And that’s why you’re going to love this easy way to clean your bras - it’s actually a game-changer.

All you need is some baby shampoo and a salad spinner - remember that thing? It’s the kitchen tool you never use. And all you have to do is fill the spinner with warm water and two tablespoons of baby shampoo. Put the bras in the water and get them saturated. Let them soak for 10 minutes and then give them a few spins.

It’s like the spin cycle on the washing machine, but it’s gentle enough to protect those underwires. Then drain the dirty water and add cold water and keep spinning and rinsing until the soap is all gone and the water runs clear.

Then you just GENTLY squeeze the bra with a towel to get the water off - don’t twist or wring the bras. Then give a few more spins to get more water off and lay them flat to dry. And that’s it! They advise doing the salad spinner wash every four to seven wears, but you can be the judge of that. And maybe with this new hack, we won’t avoid washing them like we do now.

Would You Drink Pickle Soda?

There are plenty of great food hybrids out there – we’re looking at you cronut – but we’re not so sure about a new carbonated mashup: pickle juice soda. Yep, you heard that right and it has us scratching our heads, too.

Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop, which has locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania, announced that they’ll be selling bottles of the stuff for $2.50 in their stores, or online for $9.99 each. And you’d have to really like this pickle soda for that price!

“If you’re the kind of pickle lover who relishes all things pickled,” the candy retailer writes. “This is gonna be a really big dill.” See what they did there?

But as strange as this flavor sounds, it’s not their only off the wall flavor. Grandpa Joe’s already sells around 200 other specialty sodas - including ranch dressing and buffalo sauce, and lots of candy flavors. Well alright!
