Woman Kicked Out Of Mall For Her Outfit

Here’s a surprise; malls have dress codes.

It was a shock to Hannah Pewee who was looking to take a break from a 92 degree day by doing a little shopping. Hannah was dressed in a “Finding Nemo” tank top and short shorts. Apparently, that was not acceptable.

As they escorted her out, she was told an anonymous person reported her. Interesting thing? She bought the clothes at that mall! So, Hannah took to social media with a photo and comment “As many of you know, it is NINETY degrees outside today in West Michigan,” Pewee wrote. “So, of course, I decided to dress for the weather: shorts and a tank top.”

Hannah went on “Today” and talked about the dress code, which by the way, many malls have. “Their exact words (were) that their policy requires that ‘everything be covered. This isn’t accurate, as when I got home and checked their website, their policy was only, ‘Appropriate attire, including shirts and shoes, is required.’”

After other women who went to the Woodland Mall and got tossed for similar reasons started reaching out to Hannah, the mall finally spoke up saying they are “reassessing the level of detail in our dress code.”
