Study: It’s Okay To Drink A Little

People who drink moderate amounts of alcohol have a lower risk of diabetes than people who hardly ever drink; so says a new study.

Researchers in Denmark found that people who have a few drinks three to four times a week have the lowest risk of developing diabetes. More than 70-thousand men and women were studied over five years. They found the risk was 27-percent lower for men and 32-percent lower for women, compared to people who drink alcohol less than once a week.

Wine was found to be more beneficial and gin was found to possibly increase diabetes chances in women.

The study is published in yesterday's edition of the journal of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes.Source: Guardian
