A U.S. “Space Force” may be in the works

President Trump wants to create a branch of the military that would fight in outer space.

The President spoke to members of the West Point football team at the White House Tuesday, and said his administration is thinking of adding a sixth branch to the U.S. military called the Space Force. Trump said, "We're getting very big in space, both militarily and for other reasons, and we are seriously thinking of the Space Force."

He first brought up the idea back in March, when he told military members in California that "space is war-fighting domain, just like the land, air and sea."

Naturally, since we don’t so anything in space, except the ISS, the internet had fun with this.
