Maybe don't bring crystal meth to jury duty?

Next time you visit a courthouse, it's probably a good idea to make sure you're not carrying contraband.

A woman in New Port Richey reported for jury duty but ended up doing time in jail instead when she brought crystal meth and cocaine into the courthouse.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, 39-year-old Kristine Victoria Mittler set off security alarms at the West Pasco Judicial Center when she reported for duty earlier this week. A search revealed two foil packets of cocaine in her pocket and a straw that tested positive for methamphetamine.

Mittler admitted the stash was hers but said she forgot she had it with her.

She was taken to the Pasco County Jail.
