Amish Uber

An Amish Michigan man is the latest person to join the ridesharing business – well, sort of.

Timothy Hochstedler gives customers a lift with his horse and buggy in what he calls the "Amish Uber."

A ride with Hochstedler costs just $5. He operates out of Colon, Michigan, which is in the southern part of the state near the Indiana border.

"Uber is a cool thing, every single year something new comes in and Uber is hot right now, so we have the Amish Uber. We can deliver people to their front doorsteps," Hochstedler told WWMT.

Hochstedler coined the term "Amish Uber" and is not affiliated with the Uber company.
