Millennials Are Killing Divorce Next

We get it already!! We’re ruining everything. But some of the things we’re ruining could stand to die. Like what? Like divorce. According to a study at the University of Maryland, divorce rates have dropped 18% from 2008 to 2016. The reason? Millennials are moving much slower when it comes to marriage – making sure our partners are really the right ones before we settle down.

And the worst part? It’s our parents that are getting the most divorces. Boomers are divorcing at a shockingly high rate – GenXers are pretty well about the same – and we could probably guess since lots of our parents have split by now. Another thing to consider? We’re starting to get ideas in our heads about skipping marriage altogether and choosing to just coexist and raise children together without all the legal stuff.

The funniest part about all of this is that the small percentage of millennials who ARE getting divorced are fighting over ridiculous things like Fortnite and other video games. We’re all about the petty arguments, but we’re still in it for the long haul!
