Felicity Huffman Attends Daughter's Graduation Amid College Admissions Scam

Felicity Huffman was all smiles at her daughter Sophia's high school graduation, just a few weeks after pleading guilty for her involvement in the college admissions scam. Huffman was accompanied by her husband William H. Macy, as well, who was not charged with any crimes in the scam.

The Desperate Housewives actresses pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud after she paid a proctor $15,000 to alter her daughter's SAT results. Though Huffman's fellow actress Lori Loughin opted to plead not guilty, Huffman decided to own up to her actions and apologize for them in court. She still faces a recommended four months in prison as part of her plea deal, however, Loughlin faces up to 40 should she lose her court case. Huffman's sentencing is scheduled for September 21.

“I am in full acceptance of my guilt, and with deep regret and shame over what I have done, I accept full responsibility for my actions and will accept the consequences that stem from those actions,” Huffman said in court back in May. “I am ashamed of the pain I have caused my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues and the educational community. I want to apologize to them and, especially, I want to apologize to the students who work hard every day to get into college, and to their parents who make tremendous sacrifices to support their children and do so honestly.” Huffman also claimed her daughter had no idea she arranged for the SAT results to be doctored.

Despite her ongoing legal troubles, Huffman seemed to delighted at her daughter's graduation. She looked on with a big grin as Sophia sang at the ceremony and received her diploma. Though she seemed to be in good spirits for the special occasion, Huffman entered and exited through a back entrance in order to avoid the waiting paparazzi.
