Oregon schools now allow kiddos to take "mental health”days

The Governor of Oregon just signed a new bill that will allow kids to take “mental health days” off from school. Now in addition to actual sickness, student absences will be allowed for kids to take care of their mental or behavioral health. The hope is that it will change the stigma that surrounds mental health issues. Oregon is one of first states to now treat physical and mental health equally, although Utah also passed a similar law last year. Source:New York Post
