Here’s What Happens When You Drink Green Tea Every Day

Green tea is known to be one of the healthiest drinks available—it’s widely consumed in Japan, which has one of the world’s longest life expectancies according to World Bank. It’s full of antioxidants known as catechins, which help prevent cell damage. Green tea and black tea come from the same plant, but the catechins are retained in the green version because of less processing. If you drink green tea on a daily basis you’ll likely experience the below benefits:

·Fewer stomach bugs – green tea is traditionally served with sushi, which can contain microbial bugs and the catechins can help knock some of the symptoms of stomach distress associated with those according to Nature.

·Improved brain function – although green tea has less caffeine than black tea, it will still give you a litlle boost and it also contains L-theanine, an amino acid. The combination of caffeine and L-theanine has been shown to enhance brain function.

·You’ll be helping your heart – a study found that you have a 19 percent smaller chance of having a heart attack by drinking between one to three cups of green tea a day, versus people who abstained from green tea. AND, another study found green tea drinkers have a 31 percent smaller chance of dying from heart disease by helping to reduce low-density lipoprotein, or the BAD cholesterol.

Sounds like adding green tea to your daily diet is a no-brainer...but ALWAYS check with your doctor!

Here's the Most Popular Imported Beer in Every State

You might individually drink lots of obscure and interesting craft beers . . . but as a population, we all gravitate toward the basics.

A new study found the most popular imported beer in every state. And for every single state, the result was one of these three beers: Corona . . . Modelo . . . or Guinness.

Corona was number one in 32 states . . . Modelo was number one in 10 . . . and Guinness was number one in eight.

The study also found what imported beer beyond those three is the most popular in every state, and that's where there's a lot of variety.

Some of the beers that came in fourth in different states are Dos Equis, Heineken, Skol, Tsingtao, Mythos, Peroni, Carlsberg, and Pacifico.

Why You Should Think Twice About Ordering From Starbucks’ Secret Menu

You have probably heard that many fast food chains have an ‘off the menu’ or ‘secret’ menu for those in the know. There’s definitely a COOLNESS factor in knowing some of these items the general public isn’t aware of and that’s especially true for Starbucks’ secret menu. There’s even a website dedicated to these items with the same name!

There might be a downside however…not all of the baristas know the recipes to these untold number of specialty drinks and if you order when they’re busy you might get some blowback. There are over 170,000 combinations of drinks that customers can create—maybe you can try Liquid Cocaine with four shots of expresso, and four shots of white chocolate syrup over ice in a grande cup. That’s an easy one to remember and you might get some jealous looks from people in line behind you.
