To all the people that always find themselves freaking out their friends with how dark their sense of humor is,the last laugh is yours.According to a new study,while you may not get a lot of people liking your semi-depressing memes,the fact that you’re into them says a lot about you.
Researchers from the Medical University of Vienna analyzed dark humor lovers' intelligence and aggression levels and found pretty much the opposite of what stereotyping might think of them. They were the least aggressive and most intelligent. They also had the highest levels of education.
The study hypothesized that dark humor requires a lot of “complex information-processing.” So it makes sense that only smart folks can reallygetthe jokes.
