"Malcolm in the Middle" star Erik Per Sullivan, who played Malcolm's youngest brother, Dewey, was recently spotted in public for the first time in 18 years.
The child star, who is now 33 years old, per E!News, was spotted grabbing a coffee in Boston, Massachusetts, on March 26th, nearly two decades after leaving the spotlight in 2007.
Sullivan, who is a Victorian Literature graduate student, was wearing a brown coat, hat, and boots as he took to the streets for a Cup of Joe.
In December 2024, Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek, who played Sullivan's parents in the series, confirmed that "Malcolm in the Middle," which aired from 2000 to 2006, would see a "four-episode reprise" in April 2025. The on-screen pair, along with Justin Berfield, Frankie Muniz, and Christopher Masteron, who played Sullivan's older brothers, Francis, Malcolm, Reese, are expected to bring the Wilkerson family back together this month!
Despite a handful of characters reprising their roles 25 years after the first episode aired, Sullivan will not be returning. E!News mentioned that actor Caleb Ellsworth-Clark will take his place as the family's youngest sibling. Last year, Kaczmarek revealed that Sullivan, who still keeps in touch with the cast, is doing "very very well" and just wasn't interested in acting anymore.
"He’s very very well. He did Malcolm for seven years. He started at 7, he ended at 14. He wasn’t interested in acting at all. So many people think being in show business is the greatest thing in the world, [but] it’s not for everyone."
