A drone company in Pittsburgh has created a device that could let large gatherings happen.
Aeras [[ AIR-US ]] Fog Company has created a drone which they say has the ability to disinfect arenas in three hours. The product recently had a trial run at Highmark Stadium in the Steel City, and the company says it can sanitize places like underneath the seats, arm rests and railings.
Besides stadiums, Aeras says the drone can be used in other big indoor and outdoor areas. Electrostatic technology in the drone makes the disinfectant stick to surfaces. The drones can spray up to 20 acres an hour.
The company hopes to be certified to use the device by the fall.
