Solar Eclipse Alert: How to Watch

This month’s solar eclipse will be the only one we’ll see for three years, so plan your viewing strategy now!

The “Ring of Fire” eclipse will happen June 10 and promises to be spectacular. It’s named Ring of Fire because the moon will cover the sun’s center causing an amazing red ring.

The bad news is, we won’t get to see the full eclipse, but parts of the U.S. will see a partial eclipse at day break. If you plan on viewing the celestial event, don’t forget to grab some solar eclipse glasses. Whatever you do, don’t look at the eclipse with the naked eye.

You’ll be able to view the solar eclipse online at various websites, including NASA’s. It will last about one minute and forty seconds.
