In an honor that lasted only a few hours, Amazon Founder and CEO, Jeff Bezos, surpassed Microsoft founder, Bill Gates, to become the world's richest person yesterday. The win, even though it was brief, was due in large part to Amazon's recent acquisition of Whole Foods.
Bezos ended the day with a net worth of $89.8-billion to Gates' $90.8-billion. But with his empire growing at rapid pace, and Gates dedication to give his wealth away, experts say Bezos will come out on top soon.
Even though his wealth may be skyrocketing, Bezos lags far behind other billionaires when it comes to philanthropy. Gates, for example, has given away about $35-billion in grants since 2000. Bezos hasn't been so giving, but in recent months has hinted at some interest in the concept.

You probably already knew it, but now science has backed it up. George Clooney has the world’s most handsome face. The 56-year-old actor’s face was found to be about 92 percent accurate, according to the Greek golden ratio of beauty. The measuring tool is thought to hold the secret formula for the perfect face.
Computer mapping technology using the theory also found Ryan Gosling has the perfect nose, Harry Styles has the most beautiful eyes & best chin, & David Beckham the most perfectly shaped face.
Clooney had his looks put to the test with facial mapping techniques by plastic surgeon Dr. Julian De Silva. His eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape were measured and came closest to the Greeks’ idea of perfection. “He has beautiful facial symmetry and gets closer than any other man to having what the Greeks considered the perfect face. George had a near-perfect ratio of nose-to-lip dimension of 99.6%, and his chin and eye spacing were almost perfect as well. Across the 12 key markers, he had the highest combined score.”
Bradley Cooper came in second with 91.8%, Brad Pitt was third with 90.51 percent, Styles was fourth with 89.63% and Beckham was fifth with 88.96%.
The Golden Ratio was a mathematical equation devised by the Greeks in an attempt to measure beauty. The ratio was also used by Leonardo da Vinci for the perfect human male body in his work the Vitruvian Man. The closer the ratios of a face or body are to the number 1.618, known as the Phi ratio, the more beautiful they are.

Dog Owners Take More Pictures Of Their Pet Than Their Spouse, New Study Says
The results of a new study from Rover.com, a site that connects dog owners with dog sitters, give credence to our never-ending obsession with taking pictures of our pooch.
The research revealed that 65% of dog owners admit to taking more photos of their dog than their significant other. That explains so much, while also kind of stating what we already knew: We love you, honey, but we all know who looks cuter in their sleep.
The study also revealed that nearly half of people polled say they find it harder to leave their dog for a week than their human counterpart, 94% of dog owners consider their dog a part of the family, and 56% greet their dog when they walk in the door—before saying hello to the rest of their family. Ouch.

Talking To Yourself Isn’t Crazy But There’s A Catch
A study, published in Scientific Reports by researchers from Michigan State & the University of Michigan, suggests that addressing yourself out loud is an effective way of managing emotions. The catch here is you have to talk about yourself in the third person.
“Essentially, we think referring to yourself in the third person leads people to think about themselves more similar to how they think about others, and you can see evidence for this in the brain,” explains MSU associate professor of psychology Jason Moser. “That helps people gain a tiny bit of psychological distance from their experiences, which can often be useful for regulating emotions.”
The research shows that, by distancing your thoughts from the typical first-person mindset, we’re able to better analyze our own emotional reactions without bias.

Study: It’s Okay To Drink A Little-People who drink moderate amounts of alcohol have a lower risk of diabetes than people who hardly ever drink; so says a new study.
Researchers in Denmark found that people who have a few drinks three to four times a week have the lowest risk of developing diabetes. More than 70-thousand men and women were studied over five years. They found the risk was 27-percent lower for men and 32-percent lower for women, compared to people who drink alcohol less than once a week.
Wine was found to be more beneficial and gin was found to possibly increase diabetes chances in women.
