New fitness trend: Drunk Yoga

Always-on-the-go New Yorkers are partaking in a new activity that combines a workout with wine: Drunk Yoga.

The class was created by certified yogi and actressEli Walker. She explained to theNew York Postthat fitness isn't the focus of her class.

"Drunk Yoga is an entertainment experience led through a beginner-friendly yoga class that teaches the art of cultivating personal joy," Walker said. "Everyone [in the yoga community] has become too self-important and too serious."

Walker acknowledged that while some may think she's ruining yoga, her idea landed her a book deal, and more students and classes: 15 instructors have signed on to teach in New York and California. Drunk Yoga even hosted a retreat to Tuscany, Italy.

According to the American College of Sports Medicine, alcohol can cause sports-related injuries. But Walker says that there's a two-glass limit in her class and so far, there haven't been any injuries.

Sure, it's another yoga gimmick -- goat yoga, anyone? -- but at least it's one you can drink to. And during.

Saturn Will Be Its Most Visible To The Naked Eye Tonight- Saturn will appear brighter tonight than any other time of the year.

This is the time when the ringed planet will be at opposition, meaning its orbit will be at its closest to Earth. Saturn will rise in the southeast at around sunset and slowly glide across the sky before setting in the southwest at around dawn. If the sky is clear the planet will be bright enough to be seen by the naked eye. Viewers will need a telescope, though, to see the planet's rings. If it's too cloudy tonight, don't worry, the planet will be nearly as bright through the rest of the month.

As a bonus, the moon Titan may be visible as well.

Guy Breaks Into House With His Cat And Puts On Owner’s Christmas Onesie -This is definitely not your typical home invasion.

A man is facing charges after allegedly breaking into an Oregon home with his cat and helping himself to some coffee and a cupcake before trying on the homeowner's Christmas onesie.

Police arrestedRyan Bishop, who’s 38 in case you’re wondering, for the incident Sunday afternoon in the city of Gresham just east of Portland.

And it gets weirder… the homeowners came home to stuff lying around that wasn’t theirs and the sound of something rustling in their crawl space. They looked inside to find the cat namedSpaghettiwearing a shirt. They then heard something that sounded larger than a cat and called police. Responding officers say Bishop emerged from the crawlspace wearing the onesie after they arrived on the scene. He was arrested on charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree criminal mischief and third-degree theft. Spaghetti was unruly and animal control took possession of him.

The homeowner told police she did not want the Christmas onesie back. After all, she knows where it’s been!

Soldier Performs 4,489 Burpees in 12 Hours

A Detroit man performed 4,689 chest-to-ground burpees, a conditioning exercise, in 12 hours, in support of a military foundation.

Bryan Abell, an active U.S. Army soldier, performed the exercise -- in which a person squats, places the palms of the hands on the floor in front of the feet, jumps back into a push-up position, returns to the squat position, and then jumps up into the air while extending the arms overhead - 4,689 times, beating his goal of 4,500.

He now awaits certification from Guinness World Records to see if his attempt set the world record in the maneuver.

Abell performed the burpees on Sunday at Carls Family YMCA in Milford, Michigan, to raise funds and awareness of the Stronger Warrior Foundation, which sends personal material to active duty members of the military. Over $1,300 was raised on Sunday, and the foundation streamed the entire 12-hour performance on Facebook.
