Asking This Daily Can Help Couples Feel More Secure

We all feel insecure in our romantic relationships at some point, but now research reveals there’s a simple fix for that. According to a recentstudyfrom the University of Waterloo in Canada, reassuring your partner is as easy as saying three little words. No, not “I love you,” this time it’s asking “How are you?” on a daily basis that does the trick.

For the study, researchers surveyed 359 adults in relationships and found that those who said they often feel insecure in their relationship reported being more satisfied when their partners asked about their day. People who don’t have confidence in their partner’s feelings for them tend to have a tougher time in relationships and acts of kindness like compliments and support from their significant others don’t have the same impact in boosting their confidence that simply asking “How was your day?” does.

The research shows people prefer a partner to show curiosity towards them and their lives over a bit of praise. So if you’re trying to show you care, just sit down and ask how they are. Science says it’s more reassuring than any compliment and nothing could be easier.

Amazon Is Giving Us The Smart Christmas Tree- The “smart Christmas tree” is here.

It was bound to happen; Amazon is selling a voice-activated seven-foot LED tree dubbed "Mr. Christmas." It connects to the Alexa device so you can turn it on or off, set a schedule, and even switch up the lighting color all by command. The multicolored lights can be programmed for fading, twinkling and sparkling effects.

As an alternate option to Alexa, there’s a remote built into the power cord. How easy is it to use? You just slide the tree sections together using the built-in power pole. Once it's plugged in, you can use your voice to get started.

The tree sells for 300-bucks but is apparently so popular, it's now out of stock.

Poll: Cranberry Is The Least Favorite Thanksgiving Food -A poll is ranking Thanksgiving food, and cranberry sauce is decidedly on the bottom.

According to a new Harris Poll survey there are a number of foods people don't like but eat for the sake of tradition. Cranberry sauce is the landslide number one choice. Of those who do serve it, they use the canned variety and serve it in the can shape.

Coming in at number two of disliked foods is green bean casserole, followed by sweet potatoes. The last two are shocking: pumpkin pie and turkey. They are the two most loved AND hated Thanksgiving foods.

One popular food leading up to the holiday is Cheese Whiz. The three weeks leading up to Thanksgiving are it’s biggest sale weeks of the year!

The secret food hate may be why a quarter of Americans also say they have no interest in Thanksgiving leftovers.

Italian Town is Offering Free Houses for Anyone Who’ll Move There

The mayor of the town of Cammarata, Vincenzo Giambrone, is trying to save his town from population decline. He plans to do so by having local families who have abandoned their homes hand over their properties to new owners — with no money exchanged. Some 12 houses are now available. But CNN reports that the free homes, which are both empty and crumbling, come with some strings attached. The new owners must fix up the structures on their own dime within three years, as well as put down a $4,300 deposit that will be returned once the work is completed. The owners must also present their renovation plans to the town for approval. There is an additional financial bonus, however. Priority for the free real estate will be given to young families with children. And couples who move to Cammarata and end up having a child there will receive $1,100. There’s also some flexibility: It’s not a requirement to use the buildings as primary residences. Other potential uses include hotels, shops and restaurants.
